“Pension awareness day - September 15”
The Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance (MAPAS) and the two pension companies, Sava Pension Company ad. Skopje and KB Prvo penzisko drustvo AD Skopje organize an information event on the occasion of marking of the “Pension awareness day - September 15”.
The informative event will be held on September 14th (Friday), starting at 10:00 am on Macedonia Square. The purpose of the event is to inform the wider public on fully funded pension insurance as an important social and financial theme for every citizen and at the same time increase the pension awareness of the rights arising from the second and third pillar membership.
The event will be marked across several cities in Macedonia in the premises of business associates of the pension companies:
- Branches of NLB Bank AD Skopje, business associate of Sava Pension Company ad. Skopje,
- Branches of Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje, business associate of KB Prvo penzisko drustvo AD Skopje.
The idea for organizing such an event and marking the "Pension Awareness Day- September 15" arose from the need to increase pension awareness of the general public. Citizens must be informed that in their working life we make and spend money, abd yet, we do not pay enough attention to improving the savings for our retirement days. It is important to point out that in saving for pension, the sooner we start saving, the stronger the opportunity we will have for bigger savings for old age. It is precisely why in the Macedonian pension system we save for our pension from the first paycheck we receive. By complementing the state pension over time through the second and third pillars we will provide solid retirement income for a calmer old age.
Any interested citizen can contact MAPAS and pension companies every working day to get information on which pension fund he/she is a member of or to ask questions related to his/her rights arising from membership in the second and third pillars.
